As of January 1, 2024, there will be two open Parks & Recreation Commission positions.

If you have that community spirit to assist in connecting West Vincent residents and visitors with our township lands, waterways, sports/event fields, playgrounds, and all of the nature around us - then the Parks & Recreation Commission would love to hear from you!

Parks & Recreation Commission members have the opportunity to collaborate with each other toward the betterment of the community and the respectful use of our township outdoor resources.

Parks & Recreation Commission responsibilities include the maintenance recommendations of each park and their respective inventories, recommending park features and amenities, participating in light trail maintenance, and in the development and execution of event planning initiatives (including Community Day, Opalanie Park dedication, movie nights, fun runs, etc.).

Parks & Recreation Commission members also provide important input to the Board of Supervisors on how our residents can best enjoy our various parks, community garden, miles of public trails, and abundantly stocked creeks.

As with any of our advisory or ad-hoc committees, you do not have to be a member to participate and make a difference. The public is invited to attend all advisory and ad-hoc committee meetings with their inquiries and aspirations.
